Giraffe Theme Sandwich Recipe for Kids Party

If you have a child that is crazy about giraffes, this is the perfect sandwich.  Or if you are considering a Jungle or Zoo theme party, this little giraffe can be the central party food.

To make the Giraffe party Sandwich:

  • 2 slices whole wheat bread
  • Carrot rounds
  • Apple slice
  • Celery
  • Snap peas
  • Sandwich filling

Remove all crusts from bread, then set one slice of bread on top of the other.  Cut out a large oval for the giraffe head and a curved neck.  Fill both sections with your choice of sandwich filling and put together on plate to form the giraffe.

Cut small rounds from a piece of carrot for the giraffe spots, eyes and knobs of horns.  Make ears from a piece of apple or other fruit or veggie.  Mouth and nostrils can be cut from any veggie or fruit scraps.  To make the branch, cut a thin slice of celery for the stem and use 2 snap peas or green beans for the leaves.  Garnish plate with a few “leafy” looking pieces of celery.
